SNES onboard controller pinout

Post by Super Mulletman »

OK, on the SNES main board, there's a small black piece at the very front that the ribbon cable's plugged in to (that connects to the controller board, that connects to the controllers). What's the pinout said black piece, on both sides of the board? The contact for pin 4 on the top side of the board kinda fell off and I need to find out what a substitute route could be, or if I even need one.

Then point me to one (please)!

I've yet to see a pinout to what I'm asking for, but I'm hoping some one else will have.

Ah, thank you so much! For the first time in a very long time, my electronic luck has seen me through! Pin 4 is for controller 2. Fo sho!

And yeah, I know about the search feature, I used it, and all I got was a whole mess of topics about the controller itself.

when you search, make sure you hit the check box that says "searh for all terms" otherwiese you jsut get garbage (unless you only have one term :) )

That is what screws most people up. If you use a query like "connect a PS1 to the PSone screen", but forget to set the right parameters, you will get every post that contains either 'a' or 'the', which is basically every post. Over the Christmas break, I will probably make an easy to use PHP script that creates an image showing how to setup the search page for what you want.
