Is this weird?

Post by loup »

I'm using a VNC program to connect to another computer in order to connect to the computer that I am currently on... And I do this all the time...

Now, I am doing this in order to use my laptop to connect to a desktop that is connected to my TV in order to play a show on my TV that is stored on my laptop (which may sound a bit convoluted,) but this is easier than actually going over to the other computer and doing everything from there. Basically I'm using my laptop like a remote control.

I do something similar. I use VNC to fix peoples computers over the net. I use my pocket PC to control my server whuch can control my house (lights, shades, TVs and stuff). Ive also used VNC to log into my Pocket PC to control it.

How about this, i use VNC client to log into a machine, use that machine to log into another HTTP proxy VNC, then use the final machine to do tests on my network from WAN. Talk about over complicating stuff!

I do that too. I've been building a php web interface for my media server so I wouldn't have to use vnc every time though, but I'm having some troubles getting programs to execute :P
