Let me rephrase: "You guys need to stop saying the PS2 is horrible with nothing to bck-up these claims"

As for Dummy Er... Sony........ Well...... I DON'T!

And My reason to back it up: THEY ARE NOT A VIDEO GAME COMPANY*!!!!

As I see it there is not one game hardware-producing company out there today devoted to producing the greatest most entertaining complete-videogame-system (including software and peripherals, thus complete system).

Sony: makes video game products soley for the purpose of pushing all there other products: it plays DVD movies filmed by sony's studios, with sony cameras, it uses hardware developed by Sony as a means to demonstrate it. AND its new console will be pushing the new blu-ray format which sony endorses and wants to become the new standard and has Hi-Def output to hook up to...... you gussed it HD-tv's: a product which sony manufactures.

Microsoft: Wants to bring in some profit from the console market. A market that would normaly compete with their Windows-based games. This is how I explain the 360's Meh'ness it's not realy meant to be a competitve console (atleast as far as Sony is concerned) just so long as it's out there it takes a bite out of the market and improves Microsofts immage. Oh and I know why it's called the "360": When you hold down "Shift" on the key board and type in 360 the symbols make.........

Nintendo: so obsesed (sp?) with becoming part of the "Ipod culture" they will alienate everyone (and I'm not just talking about the controller).

Because Sony specializes in things like camcorders, tvs, and stereos. Microsoft has actually made games before the xbox came out. Granted, it was never their main focus, but they have focused on it moreso than sony has.

I do not hate the PS, PS2, or PSP. I'm just boycotting by not directly buying from sony. I know sony does have good products. However, they are way overpriced (the PS2 price is decent tho). So, if/when I get sony products, I will get them used, so I personally did not give them money. Now Microsoft, I'm against them, and try to avoid anything microsoft that I can. I do also admit, they do have some decent, but very few, products (Halo, Excel). I do also use their free vector drawing program, Expression, but this is because I couldn't find any better program that's free. So, anyone knows a better free program like this (OS X friendly), please tell me.

the thing is that so many good 3rd party companies make good games for playstation so although the whole package isn't by sony, you get a complete system with games

ah yes you could have said that when the playstation released back in the day but by now i would think it would be safe to say that sony is infact a game company, games are by now a good portion of what sony specializes in. I mean really what kind of logic is that . I could say that microsoft is not a game company because microsoft didn't program a game at the first release of dos. because they didn't start their company making games they are not a game company? thats what your saying and it doesn't work. I know that we really aren't talking about Nintendo, but think about it nintendo must not be a game company because they started as a trading card company. This logic is not valid in the least. No offense Spnge

Did you know that by boycotting the PS2 and PSP, you are helping Sony?
Because they lose money on every console they sell. If you don't buy it, they don't lose money.

So everyone if you dislike Sony, buy truckloads of PSPs!
