Bondo is a putty used to fix dents in cars. While the term Bondo applies to one company's product, it is commonly used to refer to all auto-repair putties. Bondo is a two-part epoxy that when mixed turns into a putty which then sets and becomes rock-hard. One applies the mixed Bondo to the dented panel, sands it to the proper shape and primes & paints like normal metal.

Bondo was developed as a replacement for the lead that was formerly used for the same task. The lead was very durable; however, it was very hard to work with and highly toxic.

When buying a used car, it is often a good idea to take a trip around the car with a magnet to see if there are areas that have been repaired with significant amounts of Bondo.

lowes has tubs of it and you basically cut the controllor or screen up cut holes in your case glue or epoxy the screen or controllor in those holes and then fill the gaps with bondo and paint

I honestly can say that I have used bondo for every kind of project I have ever done. Just to name a few uses:
-Of course, Portables for cases
-Modelling for fixing holes, defects, etc.
-Sculpture (I'm not kidding we did it in art class)
-Modifiers: you know those little model cars made by the makers of tech deck
-Case mods and other mods (you can also use it to make mounts

Yah it dries very fast, in fact the drying time is about 10 minutes at most (if you use it right), but you don't want to touch it for a while as it is very brittle. It is also very easy to sand down, so its not a disaster if you make a mistake.

another thing that's interesting: it gets very warm when you mix the hardening agent, with the chemical reaction and all. That said, bondo was a miracle for my arcade cabinet! The thing had about 15 holes, and a few more big ones for a speaker.put some bondo over it, smoothed it out, sanded it, painted over it, and now you can't even tell there ever was a hole anywhere (well, in the right light you can see the speaker grille a bit, but that's pretty hard to hide with its size)

Bondo was the name of my grandfather... I'm serious.

Anyways from what I've read Triton used it on his SNESp to fill in parts on the case. It sounds like a more viscus epoxy then the kind I've been around (West Marine). It should be easy to use, just be aware when using it that you should not let the stuff be in anything or on your hands. Epoxies that generate heat from the chemical reaction can get up over 100 degress and possibly leave chemical burns so use latex glove and apply in a well ventalated area.
