USPS sucks!!
yup, it's true
....the batteries for my GCps were supposed to come in today, from USPS. anyway, I was watching a movie (Old School ) and when it was done I checked if there was any mail. well, there was, and the guy left that little slip telling me that they missed me....now, I was in a room right next to the doorbell, and I think I would have heard it, if they rung it. so now I have to get to the post office, wait in line, pick up my package, and get back home. I could've already had it if they even TRIED to ring the damn doorbell!! and this isn't the first time I've had to go down there, either, though the other times no one was home.....it still pisses me off, though
!!!!

Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

you should go on a serious tyrancal rant after u get your package at the post office. Or do something less effective and blog/post all your "special feelings". lol
Indeed, it does suck though. Better than my mailman. I dont think he likes me. My mail looks like he crammed everything in with a dildo. Everything gets all ripped up, smashed and cramed. They used to leave me notes saying they couldnt fit allmy mail in the box... he COULD ring my bell and hand it to me, or use the damn mail slot on the door.

I feel the pain of USPS too. They were supposed to drop off a package (another NOAC) for me on saturday, my apartment's intercom system actually calls my phone, my phone has caller ID with a memory. I happened to check the tracking for the package this morning, according to usps the package HAD been delivered on saturday, I was home most of saturday durring the day and didn't remember anyone calling me and missing the call so I checked my caller ID, there was no record of being called by the intercom. I go down to my mailbox and check there, the guy didn't even leave one of those "I tried to deliver a package" tags, so I walk down to the apartment complex's office and check, sure enough, there's a package for me. If I hadn't checked the tracking I wouldn't have known for at least another week that I had a package cause the apartment's management waits a while before informing you that you have a package, they just assume that anyone delivering a package would be nice enough to let you know that they had left a package for you (which everyone BUT usps does do.)
When i recieved my replacement laptop, my neighbor signed for it and left it on my apartment door. I could have easyly calld gateway and told them I never got it, and its not my fault UPS let someone else sign for it. *sigh*

Thats why I love Canada Post. They will ring the door bell 3-4 times before giving up. (they write the note and right the door bell at the same time, that was if you are home everything good, but if your not home they don't have to waist time writing it after).
I like USPS. They are reasonably fast, (I don't care about 2 day or overnight shipping) and they are dirt cheap to ship to where I live.
I wanted to order a 15" BenQ monitor from a place down in the states. The USPS cost would have been around $40 US plus $20 Customs charges. I was like... ok thats a little much, so I checked how much it would have cost with UPS.... $70 US to get it to the Toronto sorting plant. Another $70 US to ship it from the Toronto plant to Halifax where I live. $20 in customs charges and then $40 in Brokerage fees. Totalled up thats $200 USD. $20 more than it cost for the monitor it self...
