Mac os. vs. Windows the greates war ever faught!

I have XP, but now I have the best of both worlds. Iam putting OS X skins on it. Im about 60% done, but I can't get the taskbars, and the tops of the pages to change, but so far its purdy.

Mac os Panther is better than Tiger (even though I have Tiger). Lots of software doesn't work on Tiger.

I'm with the "there is no best os" side. They all their strong and weak points (although I love to tease my Mac loving buddy

). But if you want to play PC games (like me) then you're pretty much forced to use Win XP. Since it serves all the purposes I need, I haven't even tried any others. Besides, life is too complicated already without installing a ton of different OS's on my computer.

As far as my preference, Mac OS all the way. I'm used it for as long as I can remember, and I feel that it's the most user-friendly, secure, best-looking, and most feature-rich OS out there, which is why I would use it over any others.

I use Mac OSX. I love it. It has a very simplified design, but is amazingly fast and awesome for creating visual or audio things. Another plus is because Macs aren't used as much, there aren't many viruses. Unfortunately, the Mac seems to lock up somewhat often, though it's been less and less as of late.

As for Windows.. I don't mind it. It's not very safe, but thats msotly because of hackers. It has lots of software, of course, which is probably the only reason I'd consider using a PC again.

Never used Linux.

If you mean Amiga Workbench, I already mentioned that. Unless you can find the OS AmigaOne and get it working on a PPC computer the Amiga OS are really a deadend and likely once the migration to 64bit is done (expected in 2-4) it will be no longer useful, on the internet really.

I have a Windows free environment. I don't hate Windows, I just don't use it. Every OS has its place, if it does what you need it to do there is no reason to change.

Debian (SID) is definitely my favorite, it is the only OS on my main system. Does everything I have ever needed.

I love BeOS I have a copy of R5 Pro on my workshop computer that I use for browsing the web and listening to music.

My Amiga is for games only, sometimes I play with the video and image programs to make stupid animations.

Ubuntu is on my mom's computer, she was tired of spyware and viruses so I put Debian (Sarge) on her's. It didn't like her hardware and was a little out dated so I used Ubuntu and she likes that better.

There is no "best OS" just use what you want to, if it doesn't do what you need then switch. There are people who are happy running Win95 because it does whatever they need.

I love to use macs and I have a blast every time I get to actuly use one but for now im stuck like Black Six. I need XP for school crap... I hope I get to use Macs for Maya (runs so much smoother) later on down the road but for now im stuck with XP.

I don't really care I have XP right now but used macs in school for four years and they werent bad. There is one OS that I hate and that is windows ME I used to have ME and it was horrible it was very slow and buggy I think it was a chopped up version of 98 and 2000 but xp is good enough for what I'm using it for.

I like 2000 and XP Pro okay, and for old systems 9X is tolerable, but Linux is looking more and more attractive.

In fact, Damn Small Linux may soon find itself replacing every 95/98 install I have, and I'll soon have a Fedora Core 2 Red Hat box or 2.

dual booting is ok, but my dual boot linux/xp was more trouble than its worth

I prefer OSX to Windows by far, but the hardware on my PC is much better than my 4 (almost 5) year old iBook.
