a concept thread

Post by cennar »

here are two, one is nearly imposable to do with out severly modding a DS

Concept one:
its using a nintendo DS for screen and controls
but uses a n64 joystick, and grips.
this one just slides in to the DS' gba cart slot.

but to make it work with out writing some kind of controler out put and tuch screen interface for the ds (i could also make an extra conector some wheres to plug the n64 controls in to, but would have all but two buttons taken care of)

Concept two:
its using a nintendo Gameboy SP for display
and nintendo 64 controler for the controls and grips.
the unit will slide under the SP and plug in to the cart interface

this is the unit Ive chose to make. it would be eazier but i would still like
to know how to make out put controls for ither the SP or the DS with
no modifications to the system its self.

im using a third party controler thats smaller than the standered one. i'm
chopping down the board to save space and im going to fraken case
an N64 controler, sp tv tunner, and a router box to gether.
im not sure about the power suply but im hoping i can get an info lithium or some vary good battrys (RC car battrys or even a pile of thin 3.7 volt 1 amp sp battrys)

any input is great. like battrys or using an sp as a controler

also Gannon I think to save an email or a PM could you put these on the concepts page on doom?

Kind like of what im doing with my atari. Cool.

If you mean mapping buttons to the buttons on the sp, then that is impossible unless you mod the system. Ill draw up a diagram on how to mod the system in a bit.

i know how to do that but i realy dont want to. Have you seen the famicom converter for the sp? its a noac that uses the sp as a screen and controller and not the sound. i want to know if its a regular noac and a Vedio converter. or if its a real converter. cus if its not then i could use how ever there using the controls as a way to out put controls on the sp.

No its not a noac and a video converter. It must have some program in it that reads the buttons then signals the noac. Im not sure if its possible to do anything like that unless you buy a fami converter for the sp and hack it. Sorry.
