This may sound pretty stupid. But, here is the proposal anyway. Wouldn't buying an old crappy n64 game cartridge, then taking off the connecter portion of it, soldering it to something like an IDC50 SCSI cable (with the female cut off ofcourse) and then pluggin the newly connected catrdige conntecter into the cartidge slot work for extending the cartridge slot?

Sorta, but then you'd need 2 n64 cart slots (if I understand what you mean at least), and you'd still need to solder some stuff. I think he wants a no solder alternative to relocating the cart slot.

So the SCSI male wouldnnt be useable as a cart slot?

I figured that's what you're going for, but I wasn't sure if the scsi female could be used as a slot (I know the male can't, in electronics 2 males don't go together too well

)

I had figured that, but the scsi male looked like it might of worked, so I posted. Oh well.

I have another question then, about relocation, after reading *o*'s guide, im still rather amiss about using a SCSI cable to relocate the cartridge slot. Could someone kindly explain it to me with some nice MS Paint diagrams?
