Batteries

Post by Mr. Hawkins »

I've finished my ps2portable and have a working battery(the one ben used). However, the play time with the thing is rather weak(like 1-2hrs). So I was wondering if you could add some sort of way to attach another battery and remove the one that had been powering the system. Something like this

After adding the second battery you could take off the first, thus not having to turn the console off. However, I see that this could be a problem, considering that it would essentially be connecting two battery outputs together(which usually equals fire  ) Any advice would be appreciated.

You need a bunch of 1 farad capacitors wired in parallel. That's just a theory though. What you need is a tank circuit.

That should work fine. My original PS2p design had 2 14.4V battery packs wired in series so you could remove 1 and replace it while still running the console.
