Well I could have gotten my dad's old '74 Dodge D200 pickup, complete with inline-6 engine, working front brakes and ground-view windows...

But I got a '99 Saturn SL1. 4 cylinder, 4 passenger (5 small passengers), 12 gallon gas tank, <68k miles, 38 MPG

(Only $3500 on a private sale)

I think my uncle has an old ('76?) Porsche convertable in my grandparent's back garage, along with many many piles of worthless junk. This car hasn't been touched in 10 years, and the tires are literally flaton the bottom. What a shame, too, because when he parked it all it needed was an emergency brake cable and new tires and it would have passed inspection with flying colors...

I don't think he drained the fluids before he parked it, so the engine would need to be rebuilt, and the fuel system would have to be replaced, and it would need to be re-upholstered (used to be beautiful leather...

) What a waste.

Up until a few years ago my grandfather had a '67 VW Beetle in his back yard. He apparently backed it up, got it stuck in a ditch and under a bunch of firewood, and left it there for 20+ years. The floor was rotted, and made a ramp for cats and other animals to enter. When we pulled it out, we had to use the Bobcat skid-steer and an ATV to pull it out of its sinkhole,and then we dragged it up to the driveway where a flatbed was waiting to take it away.

I think he has an old '41 Willys truck parked in the back, which he uses as a dumpster.

It hasn't run at least since I've been alive!

And there are maple saplings GROWING OUT OF THE WOOD BED IN THE BACK!

I think it has a plow kit too...

Restoring a classic car might be fun to do once I move out and have the money for it.

I almost bought one of those with my dad for 5 grand but he is too big for an mg and I am too. I am like 6 ft and he is like 6'1 so its kind of hard to get in and out of.

MGs kick ass, you got a pretty sweet ride in one of those! i currently drive a 95 GMC jimmy SLE, its nice, power everything and leather seats, paint sucks tho. i sometimes drive our 94 le barron too, its NICE, paint job sucks but that little 3 liter v6 is a BEAST, its almost 190HP, that thing flies! it will do 110 mph easy, and feel like its doin 60, its so smooth! the car i cant wait t drive is my olds, i hope to drive it to school this spring, interior might be a little sparse but i dont care, get it safe and i will drive it, it will haull ass too

there's what my car "looks" like i am in the middle of restoring it
it is a good car with 210hp and since it is wide track it can take turns at 60 without sliding
i hope i can get it done before i get my permit

210 hp aint bad, my olds is aroun 225-250ish its a bone stock 69 chevy 350 with a TH350 tranny, im a gearhead when im not a portablizer lol and im guessing thats a 68-69 lemans or GTO?

I love cars I take auto mechanics in school, I am supposed to be getting my aunts 97 dodge avenger its got a v6 in it so Im happy except its gonna be a pain in the ass to insure because its a red two door sports car and ill just be turning 16.

Haha Ya that always sucks, no insurance company wants to insure a 2 door red sports let alone to a 16 year old. Tho stranger things have happened.

it is a 68 LeMans with over head cam staight 6 with a 2 speed AT
