I'm not suprised that MTV would have something stupid on. Frankly when they stopped playing music videos ohh 25% of the time they lost it, they also have yet to get a show that was on par with Daria.

MTV doesnt know anything beyond the scope of their demographic. And if that happens they modify their demographic a little. So you have spuedo gamers that are as Triton put it "whoring themselves" on tv.

Good job MTV you've shown the world once more that your the biggest waste of time network in exsistance.

Today on TRL they were giving out 360's so I watched and called in like 80 bigilion times I didn't win one. They had people write them emails saying what they would give up for a 360 one guy said he would give up his grandmothers ashes and won one. Its stupid undeserving idiots win who don't even know what C++ is and gamers like us never win.

Maybe we dont win because we know what the value is. The 360 is being toted as the end all console of exsistace.... and we all know that its games are likely going to suck just like the Xbox's. Stupid retarts that think such a device is worth killing for are the only morons that get it because of that reason.

Gamers (and I'm not sure if I am one) dont have a complete lack of common sence. You need it to play games! You know figure out those damn puzzles.

Is this show anything like SpikeTV's "ultimate gamer" show? Geez, I just watched the Call of Duty 2 one they made. It was horrific. Bad "pimp my ride" impersonations (both white and black guys do this. Everyone does it. I'm talkin hand motions, over the top voices, and stupid lingo.)

And of course the TV that they "destroy" with a hammer already has all the guts torn out but the glass. Wouldn't want to shock the ultimate gamer to death now would they?

Then the guy (probably an actor and definetly not a true gamer) has to rescue a chick (This happens in 90% of the shows) with airsoft guns. and even though it's only airsoft they edited it to show crappy explosions coming out the gun barrel and even added loud gun sounds. It's just so lame you can almost hear your TV screaming "help meeeee!"

Anyways, watch it sometime. It makes you want to pull out your eyeballs and burn them. Good stuff. If the MTV show is anything like that, I gotta check it out.

No, not really. Its vapid morons like this that make the gamer community look like a bunch of un-educated and brainless people. I'd like you to find anyone who is an idiot gamer and can beat Ocarina of Time in less then... oh a year. I dont like bad sterio types, they do nothing but make others look bad. Why else would I have not been apart of a group in high school I could, I just didnt like all the morons that came with being one.

This is EXACTLY why I don't bother watching MTV or VH1 anymore. They've Mickey-Moused themselves down to the "garden-fariety babbling drool gamer, Eminem impersonator" set. Just like <a href="http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comics ... g">this</a>, especially the first panel. They know NOTHING of the inner workings of the console, jsut how to play their skateboarding or Madden games. And when it breaks, they bring it back to GameStop and buy another.

The typical stereotype of a gamer 1:
-35 years old
-lives in parent's basement
-takes a crap in a Big Gulp cup so they don't miss 30 seconds of play time
-no job
-single
-pasty, 280 pounds
-gets whiplash playing any Dead or Alive game

I, unfortunately, know someone who almost fits into this category. He literally gets violent when his parents don't buy him any new games. He calims his family is rich, but his mom has said she had to use half the GROCERY MONEY to buy him new games to pacify him! I think the neioghbors have called the police once or twice! He has tons and tons of games, and holds it over our heads. But he's also a horrendous liar (he said he has a pimped out Escalade in his back yard and he's not allowed to drive it or show it to anyone. ) He has really come into school with a sore neck because he played DOA: Extreme Beach Volleyball, and has memorized all the measurements and statistics of the game! Not only is that pathetic, but it's DISTURBING!

Worst of all, I'M NOT LYING! it's THAT BAD!!

Guys like that really bring down the average level of the "gamer" set. Let's see all those Eminem wannabes build a PS2p! (and they call US real gamers "pathetic"... )
