Flash-Fire

Post by nos_slived »

Since a lot of you guys use Firefox, I figured this would be a good place to post. A couple weeks ago, while I was using the Artpad thing that was posted, and I got a "You need flash" error. So of course I went to FireFox central, and clicked the link for the flash installer. I re-installed flash, and I watched it copy the files for FF, then it closed without errors. So I went on web, and I noticed that no flash was working. After playing around for a while, I realized that flash apps would play in full screen, if I opened the actual file, however it won't play while it's embeded in a web page. Any ideas what the problem may be, and how I could fix it?

BTW, I have searched google, but I couldn't find anything that helped.

Are you using version 1.0.7, or 1.5 RC2? There have been problems with the 1.5 beta releases, so if you cant get flash to work with it, uninstall and then install 1.0.7. You'll know everything is likely to work on a stable release.

I'm on 1.0.7, so there shouldn't be any problems, but there is.

I would try reinstalling, I had this problem before (except mine was quicktime). I would do a full uninstall and redo all of the stuff and try it out.
I'm the man, if you don't think so, you're wrong.

Damnit, when you reinstall, do you lose your extensions?

BTW, I was surfing last night, and I noticed that one flash banner had displayed.
