I just read in the paper that one of my friends who was in my class last year has been missing for a week. Huge blow, so I don't think I'll be in the mood to chat that often.
From Toronto Sun, Page 9, Tuesday November 15th.
The family of a 13-year-old girl missing for nearly a week is growing increasingly concerned with each day.
Charlotte Singh was reported missing by her father Friday, two days after she headed for a Pizza Pizza at Dufferin St. and St. Clair Ave. W.
Toronto Police don't suspect foul play but say the disapppearance is out of character. Singh is about 5-foot-2 and 99 pounds.
What I heard from someone though is she was arrested at school for having a knife on her, and the buying of pizza was an excuse to run away. I kinda hope this is true.

damn, I hope she's ok... one thing I'd like to know: why did it take the dad 2 days to report anything? It shouldn't be more than a couple hours to get pizza, depending on when/how

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Perhpoas she is some kind of spontaneous person and he figured she went off with some friends or something. Also, I think you have to wait at least 24 hours to report a missing person... Still, two days?!
This could be bad. Prepare for the worst Jeff, you never know. A whole week....wow. I hope they find her.
I can't remember if missing person reports are a minimum 24 or 48 hours from time of disappearance(this shouldn't apply for minors), but that may be the reason it took so long. Believe me, though it may not seem as bad, running away can be one of the worst possibilities.
i'm still missing dont tell any one.. some times every thing turns out pritty good but its a safe bet that shes alright some ware, just vary concerning that she ran away like that and the knife thing holy, maby she just got vary scared and needs to cool down a bit first.
Spongebuell, its takes anywhere from 12 to 24 hours to pass before you can even report a person as missing. Police wont listen to you otherwise.
As for her, hope she's safe. At age 13 there isnt much she'll be able to do to get away or fight back.

They said 2 days, not 48 hours, so that could be late Wednesday night to early Friday morning. Still 2 days, but it may be just over 24 hours.
Darth Fett, wouldn't it have made more sense to just delete the part you quoted, instead of saying that you quoted by accident?
