So now it's OK to tell anyone. I figured the faster I got it online the better.

Check the homepage, enjoy the story!

well now I want it even more, but respect the fact that this laptop costs more than some new ones with their handy "floating points" and "parallel ports"

the XL/XEs should have basic built in with option held down on powerup, though--now I want to check my xegs. if I recall it needs a power supply though (a crazy one too). but who wants to play those basic games anyway? that's what you use an XE for the extra "eye candy" *rofl*

wow...I love it :D. especially the top of the case, when closed......good "making of" story, too
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Thats one of your best "making of" stories. Its cool that you really showed how you made the keyboard (really helps me, a lot). The Atari 800 laptop is the Uber portables.

P.S. I know there are support to be two dots over "U", I didnt feel like finding that letter.

the date says 11-16, although that's tomorrow. Nice making-of, one of my favorite atari's, too.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

8) Nice Atari lappy! I admire your patience. (I would have said "f*** it" years ago! :P

So I take it you're keeping this one (like the VCSp1? ;))
