A senior (18 years old) of Hillsdale High School is now the Mayor Elect of the City of Hillsdale.

I live in the same county as this event and it hit like wild fire.

 Yeah I heard about that.

Wasn't he campaigning as a write-in? (not on the ballot, you have to write the name in under "other". You know, where some people write "Mickey Mouse" or "me".) Better yet his entire campaign cost, what, $700?

Hmmm, Now I totaly want to be mayor of my city. To bad I would prolly be impeached (or w/e they call it for mayors) for spending the snowplow budget for 2006 on a gold plated Helocopter to take me to prom :P

Seems odd I live only about an hours drive from there and I didnt hear about his. I guess its the fact that Metro Detroit news only talks about what's going on in Metro Detroit.

Funny coincidence.... My street name is Hillsdale :o

That's pretty crazy that they can do that. What I wonder is why he would want to? It;s not like the mayor gets cool partys or anything. Sure ther is the "POWERRRRR!" thing, but it's not much power, so who cares.

If you want to go into politics, you're probably getting off on the right foot when you say your first job was mayor.

Obviously you havent heard of the doings of Detroit's major. They have a big scandal of him having a party involving Detroit Police and stripers. Course someone got hurt (or dead) and thats when it became more damaging to everyone.

Doesnt MTV tell you that just casting your vote is "POWER!"? Comeon if this kid thinks he can improve his town then thats all the reason he need to run.
