I'll try to get to wal-mart today and see if they have the iron on stuff. If they do, I'll try to make a shirt this week. I have confirmed my email (just a minute ago), so the ticket should be here in 3-4 days according to the web page. Time to find cheap(est) airfare!

nos_slived: I think I signed up for 2 tickets, but I don't remember (and the confirmation page didn't bring up my original registration). I'll know when I get the package from them. I'm asking a couple of my good friends if they want to go, just in case I do get 2 tickets.

go to zazzle.com to make shirts. $15 for one sided white. takes 3-7 days to deliver it, unless you get express shipping. Make the shirt really big and flashy, so youll get recognized (lights maybe?). Portablize this would be a good slogan. Bring a portable along (if you have made one,or even if it doesnt work yet). That will also atract attention. I think the xbox360s would be free cause its a publicity stunt. Borrow money from someone, or the bank just in case though.

the only free ones are to the people who won the hex168.com and origen web site games. The other tickets they gave away were just for entrance, and best buy is going to be selling the consoles there... doesn't matter too much at the moment though, as I can't get a cheap enough airline ticket. I'm working within a pretty small budget for travel, and it's looking like I'm not going to be able to make it happen now

I guess that's a little more money I can spend on games and such when I finally get my hands on a 360...

I'm going to go be disappointed now.

(just kiddin' ya).

does anyone know of a place to get cheap airline tickets? Just to give you all an idea, I thought at first I was going to be able to get my tickets for around $265 round-trip... but it wound up not being the airport I specified. The corrected number was more like $350-400 for just the airfare. The search continues, but I feel as though I'm almost out of options.

They're back-ordered. Even people who pre-ordered probably won't get them anytime soon. This is how Microexcrement compensates for rushing the system. You see, they haven't actually finished the hardware yet, so they're making up fake excuses.

I called the 3 nearest wal-marts today to see what their plans were concerning the release of the 360, and all 3 said that there were no special plans in place. They're just going to start selling them at midnight to whoever shows up first. No lines, nothing. One of these wal-marts is in a town of 50,000 people... I think people are going to get trampled honestly. I'll probably just go up to best buy and camp out

Well, yeah... kinda. I'm guessing that you saw that on ign.com (or somewhere that ran that same article). Basically, the places that took a ton of preorders (gamestop, eb, etc) are saying that they might not have any 360s available for walk-in customers until next year. Only one gamestop employee suggested April, and they used that quote to make their article title. I think that this is the media blowing up the situation more than MS is... Yes, they are going to be scarce, but not impossible to find (you just have to go to wal-mart, target, best buy, ot any other place that didn't take preorders).
