You people and your magical soldering prowess!

Post by demonofaj »

I split the controller board in two, but now is where the haste is. I have the wire, and everytime I solder on that trace, it just falls off. I did for 30 minutes and it just keeps falling off. It does not stick....period. Except for magical moments when it DOES stick where two minutes later, they fall. Any help....thanks. :P

You gotta scrape more off of the trace. Once you go deep enough it will stick. Use flux also.

I scraped, and saw some white 'scratch marks' from there I was really, really, really scared. Is that normal, or a sign that you must scrape MORE!

Green = Bad.
Scratched up Green = Getting there.
Copper-color = Damned good.

What're you using to scrape the green of? Pins work good.
