Superjoy 3 work with 7.2v rechargeable?

Anyone know if the superjoy 3 will take 7.2v, I know the last megajoy I had wouldnt take anything less than 9v.

it should since it uses a 7805.

No you'd just have to use it anyway I have never seen a NOAC that has a 7805 regualoter. I fried my NOAC using the power adapter(which is bad). But just solder 4 AA battery's together. Or buy one of the holder's from radioshack.

The famiclones that gannon has have 7805's in them, but its on the control board. So make sure that you input your power into the control board if you want it regulated. So if yours does have a 7805 on it, you can power it with a 7.2v battery. Also, if you are using a PSone screen you can use one of the regulators off that.

Solderring to batteries isn't the smartest thing to do... You know, unless you're into the whole fireworks thing.

Well it can be done just don't touch the battery to the soldering iron tip for too long. Thats when the 4th of July happens.
