SNESp almost done! (but i still need some help)

Ok the screen and portable are now hooked up. I was wondering if someone could tell me or post a pic of how to hook a batery or power up to the SNES board itself, im just trying to run the SNES on the psone screen to make sure everything is hooked up alright. Thanks a lot!

You cant have power go through one to the other. You're going to have to split the lead and have it go to the screen and the system seperatly. Best way to do this is to solder two wires to the end of the batteriy's leads (like a headphones splitter) then connect them to 7805 (SNES) input and the positve input on the screen. And then tie all the grounds to the battery's ground.

This information can be easily found if you take the time to look. Go to the SNES forum and at the top is a sticky post called SNES how too. All of your questions will be answered there, or you can buy Ben's book. Also in my avatar where it says SNES is my SNES-how-to that will tell you how to do this.

alright, thanks but here the deal: here is a pic of what everything looks like at my house. The psone screen is powered to the adapter they gave me, the SNES is powered by the adapter that came with it. They both power up, the screen goes on, the light on the SNES comes on whats the problem? here is a picture to see if there are any glaring errors. I soldered the cable into #9 pin on SNES and 1st pin on the right side of the psone:

You'll need to find a ground one the psone screen and solder a wire from that to the metal border on the SNES motherboard.

you're getting power straight from the outlet

. that'll make pretty cool fireworks but it won't be good for the portable

No the outlet adapter gives 10vdc. He's using the SNES like factory, but just forgot to connect the grounds between SNES and psone screen.
It's looking find so far houdini.

Uh guys it can be hooked up through the psone screen what you do is hook the +5v in to the +5v out on the top 7805 regulator on the psone screen then tie the grounds together or just look here

But if the draw gets high, you overload the regulator. It isn't much of a problem with the SNES or NES, but you can't do that with an N64. It's better to use different regulators though, because the more draw there is on the regulator, the more heat is produced, which means lower efficiency. It's more power smart to use 2 regulators as opposed to one.

Hey guys its working beautifully smooth thanks a lot guys!!! now all i need to do is finish my case and strap on a battery. Ill have pics soon.....but for now Super Metroid portable (well almost) just can't be beat!!!!!

Sorry for the double post but here's the deal: I have everything connected between the psone screen and SNES, now the only problem is making it portable!!!!. I know your going to say read the book, but I am doing things really different from the book, so could anyone plz post a pic of how to hook a batery up to the psone screen and the SNES, (yes I know diagrams have been drawn in the past, but others said that they were incorrect) Thank you !!!

Positive into pin 1 on the screen, positive to the input of the SNES(either left most pin of 7805 or somewhere on the trace connected to it), and ground to the ground of both things.
