hmm.... I can try making an interactive contest page in php for DP, but I'm not all that good with writing straight to a file with php :)

That horse design isn't too bad... I assume the shirts would be white? I actually don't like white T-shirts (mine are mostly blue and black) but it allows you to do pretty much any design you like.

Perhaps is the book is a success others would want T-shirts?

What about... like an axe going through a game system? Or a logo that represents the "act" of portabilizing (sp?) Or a "guild" symbol with a soldering iron, desolding iron, hacksaw and X-Acto blade?

From my experience it's best to have a cool BIG logo, and THEN read what the heck it means. And it's good not to use "stock" fonts. Change the kerning, size of letters, layout. It makes it look more professional.

There's a screen printing place in my hometown that is really reasonable... especially if it's one-color. If we had a B&W line-art in Corel Draw it would be best... Maybe 2 color would be OK too...

Perhaps the light shouldn't be fron the horizon, but maybe from right behind the system itself.....

i think we are all no good at shirts how about we make our own portables in to t shirts that way we can make our washers and dryers kill tons of disposealbe ps one screens
