SP is frontlit but GBM would work as a projector

You may as well get a $90 15 inch LCD monitor with a dead backlight off of ebay than canabilize a $120 GBM.

Well I just got my XGA Converter Box today, so I should have some pics up of some games in a bit.

Can't wait to play some sweet games on it ^.^

I got one of those tv boxes also so we could use it as a television and video game input. It's to the right of the projector in one of those pics on the previous page.

By the way, my IR glass shield finally arrived monday, so when I get back on the weekend, the projector should be complete!

Nothin like playing Super Metroid and F-Zero on a 100" wall, baby!!!

Mine is't very sharp, It's at 1024x786 but it still is a little fuzzy, I think it's because I'm not useing S-Video in. How sharp is yours SNESguy?

From the test runs, it is very sharp, but if I use an older school platform such as NES or Super Nintendo, it's pretty fuzzy. I guess it's because of the very low res of the SNES. With the TV tuner and/or xbox, it is pretty sharp.

I've yet to actually watch tv on the projector, but I tested the tuner on my LCD monitor at school and it was incredibly high quality.

Guess I'll find out this weekend.

Cool, ive done some cheaking on Lik-Sang.com (where I ordered it) and apperintly people are getting 10x the quality out of it when they use a S-Video cable to get the data out of their game systems.

My buddy has a monster 3 in 1 cable that he is gonna let me borrow so I can cheak and se if this is true.

What does your converter look like? it may be the same as mine, lol.

Mine has an S-Video, composite, Tuner, and VGA inputs. These all get converted (if needed) to SVGA for my LCD.

Mines not the same as yours, it dosn't have a TV tuner and was only $50 US. It has XGA resolution and is a really freakin small grey box with 2 vga thingys on one side, Standard video jacks and S-video on the other side and audio pass through on the other. People say the S-Video plug is a nessesity to get what you want.

Well I got my gold plated S-Video cable from The souce today, holy crow, it's like 10x the resolution of the standard video plug.

I finally got my projector running in my dorm today, but there's one problem: the image looks kinda murky. Kinda like the old-school projection TV's.

Wierd thing is, the on board menus show up nice and clear, but television input and Xbox input seems to be fuzzy. I've already tried focusing the lens, but it seems as if the bulb is not bright enough.

I'll get a pic in a bit.

Any ideas/fixes for this?
