Total of 6 combinations

Yes/Total= 1/3
No/Total= 2/3
You have Twice the odds of picking a miss. Thats what people picking 1/2 were confused about.

That doesnt make any sense. Why would you pick the same one twice, it never said you can. This is sad we are getting into a fight over math.

im in geometry, and my teacher wouldsay you cant have angle one be congruent to itsself, cant pick an angle twice, you into proofs and theorems yet? they suck

It didn't say pick a number twice, but it didn't say that you couldn't. If you flip a coin and get heads, does it mean that you have to get tails next time you flip it?

Triton: co-terminal, however that may not apply in this case.

yes your right, proofs and theorems suck ASS. right now i'm on section 2.7 (in my book) transitive and substitution properties, multiplication and division properties and addition and subtraction properties.

EDIT:

I emailed/IM'd my brothers high school teacher and asked him he said it was 1/3 because you have six posibilities:
1-2
1-3
1-4
2-3
2-4
3-4

but only two of those possibilities will come out a two congruent angles:
1-3 and 2/4.

So thats 2/6 reduced to 1/3. BTW thanks for all the help guys, sorry if i seemed a bit stupid and thanks again!

indeed it is definitly 1/2 because vertical angles are congruent so that leaves only two angles to choose from

were in section 5.3 in our book, properties of quadralaterals, constructions are pretty stupid too, only about a week and change left for part A of the cass tho, then the other half toawrds the end of the year for me

Geometry is stupid. I took academic freshman year. I would sit in the back of the class, paying little or no attention to the teachings, would do the previous nights homework, and get A+'s. Meanwhile, the kids that pay 100% attention and try their hardest would get C's and D's.

EDIT -- Oh yeah, and I dont remember ANY of it!

we are into proofs and theorums but now we are moving on to quadrilaterals and all that junk im not doin so hot right now
im in the sophmore math class as a freshman but the teacher is the man
