I just saw Bic's post, and rememberred about when my keyboard stopped working. I guess something in the memory got messed up, because I could use an external keyboard, but the built in keyboard wouldn't work until I completely turned off the computer's power for several minutes. Of course, this problem started when I was in the middle of working on a final project, worth 50% of my Social Studies mark, so I had to finish the whole project with the computer next to me, and the keyboard on my lap.

Every time I get a problem, seems to be when I have a huge project due. Last time my system board got screwed, the power didn't work properly, and that was when I had to finish a big Planning project.

The thing that really bugs me about Dell, is that their Tech support people aren't properly trained. They go in with what ever training they have, so if you call 3 times, and get 3 people, they all say something different, none of which helps.

Actually the thing that broke on my desktop PC wasn't the fan, it was the heat sensor on the fan. It jsut stopped working, and I didn't notice it since the power supply fan and the proccessor fan are right next to each other.

My friend has a Del lappie and the fan went bad on it too. He has to hold it on each side with books and blow on it with a big fan or it over heats. I told him he needs to jsut buy a replcament but he's too cheap.

That's why you get the extended warantee. Luckily, all my problems except the battery and power adapter were coverred.

Not much. It was all scratched up, and old. I just returned it, since I didn't feel like downloading drivers, and waisting another dreadful hour of my life.

I hate Circuit City and their interactive demo things.

My no-name Internet box has been upgraded with random salvage parts so many times it's ridiculous. But I've never had any problems with my Dell QuietKey keyboard. (I've been using it for years!)

I've had a couple Dell GX1's in my time, and didn't have any problems outside of a bunch ofextra case parts inside)

Those Quietkey keyboards are nice. My crap-Dell has one, I got a new computer two months ago, and the keyboard that came with the case was crap. I spilt water on that, so now I'm using a seven year old HP keyboard, which is loud and crappy. When I have some cash, I'm going to go to the used computer-parts place a few towns over, they had a palette of new Dell keyboards.
Speaking of the used computer place, I got a 18" veiwable NEC CRT there for 80 dollars, practically brand new, supports 1600x1200 res.
