If you know where to look you can find gamecubes for around $15. Heck, you can get PS2 slims for $25.
If you fry your gamecube (like I might have when trying to remove the big connector on the powerboard [which I failed to do :oops: ])
then you should check if Craigslist has a board for or near ...

Hey, me again.
I found a tear down down on the Gamecube which includes pin outs for various ports. It may come in handy to someone, so here it is.

Does anyone know if the 1.9v line can run on 1.8v I can't seem to find a good 1.9v dc-dc converter ...

On second thought, it probably is a better idea to put the cd drive in the lower half of the portable, though I'm not sure where I'll put it there...
I'll worry about the case later, for now I'm going to focus on getting everything wired up and everything I don't need off.

Hello Ben Heck forums, I've been interested in modding and hacking for a long time and I'm finally starting a project of my own.

To do list
[x]Open the gamecube, look around
[ ]figure out every connection needed
[ ]Make a complete parts list
[ ]order everything
[ ]optional: psone screen hack for ...
