time to restart this thing.

the CPU on my N64 overheats very quickly, it's too hot to touch it within 20 seconds. the n64 doesn't put put video and all of the work done to it is in argelfraster's post. should i replace the CPU?

I have an n64 with a relocated cart slot and a few traces between the RCP and CPU chips which were cut and had to be rewired. Everything works fine when playing a game for about 2 minutes, then the picture goes wild. Basically everything switches places is little boxes, so arms and legs and heads go ...
