hmm seems either way i connect the pos and neg it starts to smoke, gonna order another ti chip.btw snowpenguin how would i go about using multimeter to check which is pos?

Without connecting the n64 it started burning the PTH, i mean i have a 8v pack and it says + but the wire is black and - is red which is weird cause its backward. This is most likely the reason. okay so I ordered a PTH08000 and a PTH08080 when hooked up using diagrams like harsh boy, the chip starts to smoke, ive looked over all connections and can't figure out what im doing wrong, in the process ive fried 2 n64's :(. well right now im kinda stuck with the whole battery/ac power. Im thinking 8 3000mah AA batteries, the dvd player requires about 1amp and ps2 2 amps so i might get about an hour runtime which is fine. If anyone has any suggestions please add. And im staying away from the lithiums for this project.

Okay so after a bit i began another day of ps2p. Anyway i decided to use the dvd player case as the main case of the portable.

okay so im done all electric modifaction other then the modchip(in the mail)
i have only one question.
-Im using a 7.2v to run the entire system with screen, now how can i wire a recharge port to it, I have the proper charger already, just need a wiring diag. to hook it up.
