Because that chip is a pain in the a** to find here in Chile, and the only way to get it is buying an old genesis (the psx prior to the scph5500 and the fctwin also has it)

I tried building a circuit with the AD724jrz IC, but nothing worked, and I think that the chip might well be fried (too much ...

Is it possible to use a psx as a RGB to Composite converter?

Hi. I was wondering if a psx model scph550x or earlier can be used as a RGB to NTSC converter. I know that those models have the cxa1645 chip which is the chroma encoder, so I wonder if one do the following connections:


vga pin | cxa1645 pin
1 | 2
2 | 3
3 | 4
13,14 | 10
6,7,8,10| 1,24

and

+5V ...

Hi. I want to know if someone has used one of these consoles as a rgb to ntsc converter. I'm asking this because I can output 15khz horizontal frequency resolutions with my vga card, but obviously the signals are splitted (in red,green,blue, hsync and vsync).
