Updating the Game Gear Screen
Alright I don't know if this has been asked before and no it's not the USUAL Game Gear question. It's clearly stated as a NO for use in anything but the Game Gear unless you have a GG Tuner. My question is indeed different. The screen on the GG is absolutely horrid, is there a modern screen that ...

Actually I don't, I pretty much got to that point at the beginning of summer. I have since lost all my measurements that I went off. As for the pinouts, I just kept the board the way it was as it was already small, but lengthened the wire in between the 3 boards to position it wherever I wanted. I ...

I don't know if this would help but I made one myself out of this system and didn't have a problem, aside from my lack of knowlege about decreasing power consumption.

Alright here's another update, *sigh* okay I could not figure out what was wrong with it so I just powered it with some batteries and it worked fine. For whatever reason it absolutely HAS to run off batteries. I was originally using the wall outlet in an attempt to save battery power while working ...

FC Game Console/Hip Gear wiring question (with a pic)
Okay,
Here is an image of my current wiring of a FC Game Console to a Hip Gear Screen.

The system works fine on it's own, however when I turn on the screen it sucks the power away from the system turning it off ...

Possible "n00b" solution?
Hey Guys,
Seeing as there seems to be a bitter distaste for total "n00bs" around here, a lot of questions remain unanswered, (usually already answered elsewhere, and people get tired of repeat questions.) Why is there not a n00b specific webpage/forum? Anyone interested in doing that? It would make ...

2 Hip Gear
I just picked up 2 Hip Gear controllers for $40 Canadian! That's like $32 US. I just tested the screens on a PS2 and considering they're $20 brand new that's pretty good. Don't know why I nabbed 2 of them, but I guess if I fry one I can always use the other.

Okay next question. Does anyone know what all these fancy things on the boards do? Like the black cylindrical stickie-upie thing, or that round thing that looks like a tiny Advil. I'm at a loss as to how I mess with those, or if I even should. I have like 200 feet of phone cord that I can use to ...
