It was a bad solder joint apparently. I unsoldered everything, then resoldered it taking extra care and time to make sure there was good connections and it's working now.

Creating a phono/RCA jack to 3.5mm miniature audio cable

I proposed this idea to myself in an attempt to output my Gamecube audio to a simple set of powered computer speakers. There are cables and converters out there, but the problem with this is that one of my co-workers decided to tell me that I wouldn't be able to do it. Wrong thing to tell me.

I am currently in Baghdad and would like to get a 220v power supply for my GameCube. I don't trust stepdown transformers and all of our power is 220, and my power supply is a weak 110 version.

I'm nowhere near an expert in electrical matters, but if I'm not mistaken, VDC = Volts Direct Current.
