I was planning on making it a full on laptop, yes. I havn't bought anything for it yet. It's still on the drawing board. I would use the slim PS2's internal workings, but if the original PS2's drive is compatible, i'd use that. Really the only part that I am in major confusion over is the screen. I ...

Use a differnt Disc drive in PS2?
I am planning a portable PS2 that will be in laptop form ( I know, ever since Ben did it with the 360, everyone else has been wanting to do it
). My question is, can I replace the PS2's disc drive with, say, a slim laptop drive, or am I stuck with what the PS2 has?

Say, what if I rerout the signal from the cartdridge slot itself. In other words, wire it so that the video signal goes from the cart slot to a video out port, rather than somehow connecting the video out to the LCD in some strange way.... could work....could not..... I guess I'll have to experiment ...

hook a GBC to a TV?
I found my old GBC the other day, and decided I'd try to turn it into a console system. I took it apart (I had to remove those wierd nintendo screws with a drill press) and built a controller for it. I was about to go into hacking the A/V stuff in order to hook it to a TV, but I realized that the ...

Why does etching take so long?
I'm an electronic hobbiest and I like to etch my own circuit boards. I don't usually heat the Ferric Chloride, but it still doesn't take that long. But for some reason, the other day I was etching a circuit board and nothing happened to it. after about 2 hours, I decided to get some fresh FeCl3 ...

Using a different CD Drive on the PSOne Portable
Hey. During my pre-build testing, I've noticed the excruciating lack of anti-skip on the PSOne's CD drive. Does anyone know if it's possible to use a different CD drive (such as one from a portable CD player) to run the unit? Thanks.
