(note: I'm just female of the dog species. Skip this post if you don't care.)

K. What do I do? I've been working on mine for about 4 months or so. (Broke. Out of work. Hard to get parts.) a few weeks ago, I was almost completely finished. Case is made, pretty much every connection soddered, tweaked ...

Think about it like this, the PSP screen is only 4.3 inches, and its quite big for most people, 7 inches is just overkill.
Slow day. Lol. K. Another question, am I able to remove the controler's expansion slot?

Another question - The wiki says to desoder the 50 pins of the expansion slot on the bottom. I did. So am I supposed to completely remove it? And if so what do I do about the 8 big pins holding it on?

Hey so I'm looking at possibly using a 7" screen. Would that be too big?

I'm also unsure of how to make the "DC-DC Converter" can anybody walk me through that? (This *is* my first portable if you haven't noticed. XD)

I'm finally through the case, at least! Ended up resorting to the dremel. It felt ...

Ding ding ding, you are a winner, Kyo. You win... This post telling you you're a winner!

I just didn't want to go with the titles that everybody else is doing (Adding a letter or something...) Thought N65 seemed kinda fitting. Yeah so anyway, I'm having trouble with this screen regardless of the ...

Pay five bucks like I did and get the bits on ebay It's so worth the money I promise.(Try to dig out the plastic with a knife while slowly melting it with a soldering iron. It worked for me)

Pff, screw ebay. I went to a specialty tools shop in town and found the bit there for $4. "E4 Torx Socket ...

K. Well while I wait for the bit to come in the mail, there's another question I had. Can I use any PSOne screen for this? I have a third party one from a loooooong time ago. It's pretty similar to the official one in that it has a volume and brightness dial, but it also has a color dial, a ...

I have never owned an N64, let along taken one apart, so this may not be relevent here.

If the screw holes are not too deep on the N64s (or you have a very long soldering iron tip), you can just hold the soldering iron against the screw head for about 2 minutes. It will heat up the entire screw ...

So I tried with a new pen with harder plastic. I got screw #2 pretty loose. And then... The pen broke... Inside the hole. So I got a big hunk of plastic between me and the screw. Plan B time. I'm not to sure how I would cut open the case, but maybe its a good idea.

And if anybody cares, I plan on ...

And no, my username isn't really much of a pain in the ass. Alt + 0153 on the numpad.

The fact that you've gotten any out is a good sign, because you have a decent pen and are doing it right.

*Had* a good pen. Most of it is melted, now. xD

What other screw removal options are there, and do they involve maiming of said screws in any way?

What else should I do I thought the rule ...
