would the circuit in the battery or charger not stop charging when it's full? Or does the laptop regulate that?
If so hwo could I make a simple LED circuit set to detect and turn on when the pack reaches about 90-95% capacity (for safety)?

Well I'm reviving this because the wife finally tried to throw it out so I figured it's open season for me to hack it apart! Was using it as it was intended before so I couldn't.

as I suspected it is composite. Yellow was signal, blk ground, red power, and copper was another ground that I diddn't ...

Laptop battery as a power source?

I've got an old lapttop battery that's still good from theother project I mentioned in another post. I'm wondering if I can still charge it with the laptops wall charger, minus the laptop itsself?
If so could someone give me the pinouts of a PS/2 charger connection and where to or how to get the ...

Where can I order LCD controllers?

I know what your gonna say, it's a laptop LCD from an old laptop. But I've seen the controllers out there that will at least allow me to use it as a second VGA monitor with my PC. I can't get them on E-bay (none on there right now anyway). I just want to know how much one might cost so I don't get ...

Well mine I believe is composite, second choice is component, definitely not RGB because of the way the IC is connected. pm me your e-mail and I'll send you the manufacturers datasheets on the IC and screen.

by-passed it, still nogo. Think the ic might be gone too. if that cap was gone, probably more gone too, can't bypass everything. screen might still be good if H could get ahold of a new controller.

Well I found why I can't get power through that red wire. There's a small capacitor that I'm not getting continuity through, thinking it might be bad.

uhg...what do I do now?
Can I replace that with a different cap? How do I find out it's specs?

dvd player is trashed. I've managed to probe out that the black wire is goin to ground but the red wire is goin to the video ic pin 55 which is labeled as Y-det and described in the datasheet as Y-system clamp detection pin.

Okay so the red white black wires apparently don't power the unit. Either that or my 7.2V 1700mAh Li-ion power supply isn't sufficient. Other than that I'm not really sure where to put power to, hopefully I haven't damaged to IC or anything already with my not-so-suddle prodding around.
Any ...

Do you already have a NVG in hand and know how to mod it to composite out? If you're wanting a cheap alternative look up CVS Pharmacy disposible digital camera night vision mod. These can be purchased at any CVS pharmacy store or on the website for about $30 and easily modded by removing the IR ...

I had a suspicion last night that it might be composite. I'll try it out and see what happens, but I've got to make some adapters that I can probe it with first without harming the set.

I got it for me and my wife in November. Got the big box set for the 360. It's pretty awesome, you're right though, not many songs to chose from even if you do cough up the outrageous money for more songs.

What kind of video input is this?

I have a car backseat camera and lcd monitor set that was given to me as a gift awhile back when my son was born. The LCD is about 2sq" with a 12v power input from a cigarette lighter jack. The camera is day/night and is powered and relay's it's video signal through a single 4-pin cable that goes to ...
