Hmm...Just thought of this. I've heard that the 7805 (voltage regulator)was the cause of many interface-related problems. Could it be the cause of this?

If I remember correctly, yes I've experienced the same thing. However, my Atari project has been put on hold for some time now so it just sits there with it's composite video mod and utter lack of a case. I don't recall any threads addressing this particular problem (no recent ones anyway) but I'll ...
