I can get a new Intec Xbox 5.6" console-top-screen for less than $50.00, want to use it for a SuperJoy or Yobo portable. I know the PS screen is the popular one around here, but someone probably knows the Xbox screen pretty well.

Coming out to where? The controller board? The output jacks?

Do you have any photos, and have you cut the wires already? You don't need any fancy equipment to test this stuff, once we figure out to which board the wires were going.

My cord hooks to a game's RCA outs on one end, and a black audio plug into the headphone jack / yellow video plug into a headphone-looking video jack on the portable DVD end

Turn the DVD player on without a DVD in it.
Hook up and turn on your game/video source.
Press or switch the in/out button ...

Along the same lines, if I'm using wire bigger than necessary, is it wasting more energy? Or does it take more energy to get the signal thru a bigger wire?
