Flattening motherboards

Yes, it's a question about saving space :).

After looking at Ben's Xbox360 laptop (which is fantastic), I'm curious about how he managed to extend the leads on tall components (mainly the capacitors). I tried to do it before, but usually the remaining "stubs" of the component would fall off ...

if it dosent say what the power rating is on the ouside of the battery, i seriouly doubt you will find it inside (youre not supposed to open them so they dont write anything important in there:P). look on the outside for any text stamped into the plastic. (or google)

Er, what's the battery rated at?
Er... I'm not entirely sure, but it's this . Yes I know it's not a good battery - I only get about an hour life from it (I found it as a bargin ages ago), but will it affect what I need? If I can get values for the mains that'll be fine for now.

3amp to 1amp (GC power supply to screen)

Hi, I've been looking at this website for a while and after looking at people's GCps I would like to have a shot at it :).
The only concern that I got is I have a portable TV which runs on 12V 1A, but since the GC runs on 12V 3.25A, what would be the best resistor to use (I'm assuming I have to get ...
