It's not a speaker connector. That's too large...
I completely forgot I had a scanner here, so I put the parts on the scanner, along with a CD-ROM audio connector for comparison. The wire on the top right came out of the connector on the bottom right. That's the one I'm trying to identify.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of connector this is? I needed to replace the wires and thought it might be simple to reuse the original clips inside, but that ain't happening. These things are too darn small. I know the photos are lame, but they're the best I can do without a ...

Replacing pots with resistors?
Is there any kind of guide as far as how best to determine what value resistor to use when removing a pot? Should you go by the minimum or max value of the pot or perhaps try to determine a middle value?

Hipgear screen: requesting photos of wiring
There was a post here a long time ago that had nice pics of the inside of the hipgear screen (xbox/ps2/gcn) and I can't find them now. I decided to do something with this screen today and realized I didn't have the pics any longer. Please tell me someone out there saved them.

Replacing the mic on a DVR
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to replace the mic on a voice recorder with a jack for a better mic? What I want is to be able to hook either an FM reciever or some external mic to it. I understand that the mic itself may require it's own power source, but my question is, will it even work?
