aside from some careful soldering it doesn't seem too bad

I minored in Electrical Engineering, Majored in Computer Engineering. Three classes different and I could have switched that around.

Classes you can expect:
Basic Circuits - resistors and capacitors, with inductors thrown in maybe
Advanced Circuits - didn't have to take this one, and I forget what ...

try the same wiring in reverse

RF shield are used to block electromagnetic radiation, for example in a normal home AC power comes in at 60Hz so there is a lot of 60Hz electromagnetic radiation coming from lights, outlets, and such.

also from radio towers, cell phones, basically any piece of electronic equipment. using an RF ...

after a second look, i only had a few minutes before class last time i looked, the triangles look like inverters (although with the capacitors and resistors i believe they act more like filters).

i just briefly looked over the modulator and receiver but the concept seems to be fine.

the modulator(sender) uses the voltage from your stereo to change the frequency from the 555 timer to modulate the RF signal you are sending.

as for the receiver, i've done some Phase lock loop stuff in school ...

yeah i've finished interfacing the the wii nunchuck, looks like there are a couple differences in the way some knockoffs are initiated with a startup sequence.

authentic nintendo ones are: (hex values)

0xA4 (i2c address) 0x40 0x00 startup

but my knockoff sequence is:

0xA4 (i2c address) 0xF0 ...

the problem is, when i put my desolder over the solder points, there not turning to liquid.

have you tested your desoldering iron to see if it melts solder properly?
also most newer solder compounds are lead free and require more heat (something like 10 to 20 degrees more, thats celcius) its not ...

I've been looking into interfacing a wii nunchuck with a 8bit PIC microcontroller
It uses an I2C interface which is fairly easy to use (using some microchip libraries and such) .

my problem is that I bought a knockoff from DX(Deal Extreme, cause it was cheaper) and read online somewhere ...

I just used some spare cedar that i had laying around, plus some 3/16" ply for the front.

i've got enough if i take it out of the case and such

I decided to start a NES portable for my summer project,

I haven't named it yet i figure i can come up with some ridiculously long winded name later (or let the work speak for itself).
I already have a PSone screen and a NOAC / have modded the PSone screen already for LED BL and such.
