I was wondering if anyone can help me wire a wireless xbox 360 controller. I really hate having to buy batteries and i really don't have money to buy a battery pack or cable so i would like to know if it is possible to hard wire the controller with USB so it can be plugged into the xbox for power ...

But like I said, you can always use extended copper heatpipes and add some more/stronger fans to help with the cooling. And venting the case by cutting holes will always help.

Hi, while building my XB360 laptop I've realised I have no real "off the shelf" plan for it's CPU heatsink.

my first idea which I've started is to rip apart a "heatpipe" CPU heatsink leaving only its copper base, I will then line side by side copper heatpipes flatten them down and solder a GPU ...

A desoldering iron is absolutely invaluable for things like this, I tried for ages with a normal iron and pump and just couldn't shift it at all, £25 later I can do the entire sequence in one clean go.

Have you modified any of the circuitry in the monitor other than desoldering the "mains" supply recepticle? if so you should be able to run cables to the "mains" recepticle in the brick, to test it just hook it directly to the wall socket (via plug ofcourse)

bassmasta - I might use polystyrene but I have a lot of polycarb lying around that I'm going to experiment with, there will be a lot of Carbon Fibre (fiber to US guys :lol: ) accents.

It wasn't a purposeful shake, I was just lifting the motherboard to see the other side when I heard the rattle.

that rattling is probably the tilt sensor that detects whether the xbox is laying down or up right
