cool and i just bought a new cordless portable soldering iron that heats up in less than 10 seconds its the best soldering iron a geek can have the only down side is that it heats up super hot (too like 1050 F ) so u cant use it for a long time

right so with in a day of soldering i have burned my had 3 times and my legs twice (p.s NEVER EVER wear shorts when soldering its like a pain u have never felt :( ) I think you're doing it wrong. Shorts should be adequate protection from burns unless you're sitting funky. It isn't like hotglue ...
