My batterys are 7 1.2 volt lithium ions batterys with 4200mah. They came from a portable dvd player. the protection circuit is fryed. When i hook my meter up directly to the cells, i get 8.4ish volts. However, when i hook my meter up to the cells though the protection circuit, i get 0.01 volts. What ...

thanks, im going to look for an interal regulater. it seems unlikely that the lcd really needs 12 volts. if i cant find any, then im going to get those batterys. thanks for all the help.

I have this screen that is not the psone screen and needs 500 milliamps at 12 volts. my battery pack is 8.4 volts 4200mah. is there a circuit i can build to boost the voltage?

well, this project keeps getting more complicated. I fried my n64 so i had to get a new one. $20 on ebay, shipped, with a jumper pack. Ive also done a lot more case work.

What kind of screen is it? You could probably get away with the ones from a PSone screen.

I desoldered the LED on my n64 and dropped it. I cant find it anywhere in my room. Since i used a ps2 joystick on my n64 portable, a have a led from the controller. Could a replace the n64 led with it?

Here is an update on my n64 laptop. I have the controllor and batterys wired up. All i need is the 3.3 voltage regulator.
