After a several month break due to me being a lazy schmuck, i have finally summoned the willpower to start back up on this project.
I just finished the white led mod on the psone screen, and it turns on! SUCCESS!
The screen is black, but illuminated, with the volume/brightness buttons ...

question on psone screen
I wired up all my led's and connected it to the wall adapter, and im getting a black screen thats illuminated (by led, of course) and when i push the volume/brightness buttons, the appropiate sliders come up on screen. There is no sony logo that flashes or anything, so im wondering if this is normal ...

so the cartridge connector is finished (finally) and the wires actually reach this time! But, I'm concerned about the wires themselves. They seem like they take up a lot of space and will interfere with the final assembly- any ideas on how i can fix this?

After a 2 week break from soldering, my wrists have healed enough to continue my project.
And i am tired of that SNES board giving me lip. It refuses to cooperate with my efforts to give it new life, but today is the day. the %#$* has hit the fan and i am showing that thing who's boss ...

on wednesday i broke both my wrists after falling off a roof. :cry: So, no updates for 4-6 weeks, except maybe x-ray or cast pictures later.

fixed the pictures. although the one of the cartridge connector is inaccurate now, as i recently realized that my wires arent long enough to reach the back of the case :cry: . Which means i get to do it all again. Thankfully, i learned a new trick for the pins: Flux. lots of it. :lol: It should go ...
