Ben's Latest Flame-Inducing Next-Gen Prediction
The much-delayed Zelda: The Twilight Princess will be a Revolution game.
Now we all know Nintendo is about "gameplay over graphics", but this move will be about selling a new system instead of supporting an old one.
If this game was developed for the Cube, and the Rev is Cube-compatible, all they'd have to do is tweak some stuff and bam - it's a Rev only game.
I'm calling this bombshell of Nintendo news right now. Watch by this summer, there'll be an annoucement - I bet I'm right. Nintendo will say "it's about enhancing the experience" with the new controller, but it'll really be about selling a system that is bound for 3rd place regardless. Why release their top game on the old system at the same time when you can get a bunch of Rev sales by doing this?
Flame away, but this happens a lot. Games so long in dev they skip generations. PDZ and Kameo come to mind, also Eternal Darkness, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Too Human... The list will continue with Zelda: The Twilight Princess. Mark my words.

I've heard this numerous times, but I'm not sure it'll happen. I'm guessing it will come out for GC in the summer (hopefully early), and then a Rev. version with the same (or slightly updated) graphics and a new controller set up, of course. I agree with Ben on the fact that they'll definitely try to make as much money on this, though, which is why they'd come out with another Rev. version, rather than just using the GC disc. the GC software in the Rev. is probably just the actual hardware (albeit much smaller), so you'd have to interface the Rev. controller to work as a GC controller for it to work in the GC slot only
(and if they could do that, then wouldn't ANY GC game be able to use the controller?). It makes sense that they'll release a second version, though. Make more money by reselling the same thing? Hasn't that been Nintendo's strategy the past few years
?
if they don't make a GC version, I'll be extremely pissed
. I know they will, though. They've been developing this on the GC hardware for a while now, so why suddenly switch to the Rev.?
and paul, that post contributed nothing to the thread.

.Well, this topic actually came into disscusion at my local Gamestop a few days ago and the person across the counter had been at a Nintendo press conference recently. It has been postponed to July because they are adding special Revolution-only content allowing you to use the wand

Not to mention the expensive Li-Ions you would have to buy. It would be one expensive portable.
and though that may be true, fanboy, he could of easily been talking shaving cream

there is no doubt in my mind that it will come out on the GC the game already has thousands of reserves throught the country its nor like they can just switch systems and screw all of the game stores over that took reserves
EDIT: a portable rev seems to be way crazy with there controllor i dont see how you could put it with the actual portable case, but i think a rev with a psone screen velcroed to the back with batteries would be way easy
