PC Console
I am attempting this console (I call it the N-Forcer) , and making it out of a moderate spec pc, with a dvd drive, so I can watch VCD, DVD's and DivX movies, port over the pc games I have created, emulate other consoles and play good PC games with a joypad.

With some of the new mobos and power supplies you could also hookup a slim cd-rom (they mentions the configuations), or what not.

What you people are saying is wrong
It will be much different from a standard PC, and i am making it out of a laptop with Windows ME (don't say it sucks, i have it and it works much better than my XP computer), and I have a startup program that will run any game from CD when it is inserted, and two PS2 controller ports, so it is much more like a console, and not a PC.

HAAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH. HAHAHAHA. HAHAH. HAH.
Man, you must be smoking some gooooood crap. That, or you don't have enough memory to run xp properly. But... ME? Maaan. Put 2k on there if you don't like xp.
Jackfrost, that's a 1ghz, x86 compatible, fully functional computer.
EDIT: Good shaving cream? Hahah, I like that better than what I did put.

No its a "uPC"!The OQO model 01 ultra personal computer (uPC) is a fully-functional Windows XP computer. The OQO has a 1GHz processor, a 20GB hard drive, 256MB of RAM, a color transflective display, and integrated wireless, as well as Fire Wire and USB ports. It is powerful enough to run your most complex applications.
Just 4.9 inches long, 3.4 inches wide, .9 inches thin, and weighing only 14 ounces, the model 01 can fit in a pocket or purse and go with you anywhere. For easy typing and cursor control it has a complete thumb keyboard with TrackStik and mouse buttons as well as digital pen and thumbwheel. It is the much anticipated device for people who previously had to choose between the bulk and awkwardness of a laptop and the limited capability of a PDA.
The OQO model 01 is also the most versatile computer to date. With the OQO docking cable, it can easily connect to projectors and Ethernet. Placed in the desktop stand it is a desktop computer, allowing you to connect easily to a variety of peripherals, including full-size keyboards, printers, scanners, and high-resolution monitors. It shifts easily from one mode to the other with no data synchronization required.
With an OQO model 01 you can move throughout your day and enjoy constant access to all your information and Windows XP programs. You can use the same computer for high-powered applications at work, sending email at home, listening to music on a train, or watching a movie on an airplane. It is the only computer you need.
