I've used RPGMaker95 and 2000 editions. Downloaded them for free :P Never did much with them, though.

Of course, for platform games, the Click n' Create series is completely and unrevokably superior. 8)

I haven't done much with Click n' Create as of late, either.

I prefer Visual Basic 6 and DirectX 8. :)
Game maker's just don't give you the same level of control.

I use it, and have made wonderful progress on my game! I even made my own bag system (cbb)and my own battle system (cbs) If you need any tilesets, go to Pokecommunity, for any game (Zelda, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Golden Sun, etc.) They have custom ones too.

QuickBASIC 4.5 :mrgreen: (too lazy to learn another "real" programming language as of now. :lol:)

PHP/MySQL! The entire Kingdom of Loathing game is done with PHP and a MySQL database.

Python! :D

For pseudo-text games, Computer NOVEL Construction Set is good. It's old but it gets the job done, no programming required.

I tried Adventure Game Studio, but I think it's kind of a pain in the butt to make games with.

Java, it's more portable. I'm currently working on a text adventure game engine. Right now I'm working on the inventory system.

I have had it for amost a year now, I got the translted verson way before they sold it over here. I like it a lot, I reminds me of RPG maker 1 for the PSone but with way more options. If I wasn't so lazy I would learn ruby so I could make some awsome games with it.

Well, RPGXP is illegal if you have the 'translated version'. But, i've used it when it first came out (the japenese trial version). It's better then 2003, but i'm still used to RPGMaker 2000, and there are still tons more chipsets for that.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

hey, i was wondering, would anyone maybe want a ruby scripting 101 class? I could teach it....it sounds hard, but it is quite easy. It only took like a couple weeks to learn the basics....and some others.....

I just use C++...

Personally I think RPG Maker sucks.
