I watched this on Call for Help, its Basicly a 3d Sculpting program, and Its Very easy, for newbs :)

I didnt even look at the Tutorial and im good, Its a 2 week Trial, then you gotta pay for it, But Its a Good Program.
Very Good for Making Video Game Models or Just Making a Model of Your fav Game character or just anything :)

I use Anim8or
http://www.anim8or.com

It's pretty simple to pick up and use (I use it to make all my game models.)

Blender 3d is totaly free and has no limitations. I like Z Brush, a lot of people in the buissness use it to add detail to models the build in Maya or 3Ds Max but it's not the best program for creating basic models.

I personaly use Maya PLE. It's a free trial version of a $6000 Maya program but instead of being something like a 30 day trial it just puts a Maya watermark over your renders.

I use Maya mostly because it represents the actual work pipleline of most 3D animation houses working today... not to mention after useing it for almost 3 years ive goten used to it's rather difficult interface.

I've been trying Anim8or, it's pretty easy to get into. MUCH easier than Blender3D, in my opinion. It's even easier to use than the old Strata3D program I had on my PowerMac. (Got it for free off one of the CDs that came with MacAddict magazine)

Finally I can put my roughly 200mhz P1 lappy to good use!

flat out, blender has more features than anim8or, but blender is made by a company and charges for their manual (their buttons are miniscule and unlabeled, you kinda need it), and anim8or is made by steve, he won't even accept donations

i reccommend anim8or over any program, it's very powerful, has a strong community, and extremely easy to learn. you can learn basic modeling in a day

by the waay, zbrush is fairly expensive. and most modelers actually model in max or maya etc and then do the extreme details in zbrush, then great a displacement map
i do try
near-infinite gmail invites, pm me.
