Psp2 portable coming soon, to an internet near you!

Post by FDSMAN »

well, I have big BIG plans to make a ps2 portable as soon as the slim ps2 gets another price drop, does anyone know how much I can get one? i'm waitin for them to drop down to the 2 place value factor, I really don't want to buy one that costs me 3 figures, and then have it blow out, anyway, I'm planning on making one based on stereth's PSone, although, I need a few questions answered, is there some sort of harddrive that I can put inside my portable that the ps2 can use, and where the best place to get all my portable needs?

Well I know when I bought my PS2 slim it was $119, that was over 6 months ago. You can buy a used off ebay, flea market, other venues. I know you dont get the best deal from Game Stop (where I got mine), or EBgames.

Closest thing that could happen is connect the two via the USB port(s). Even if that worked the best that would happen is use the PSP as a memory card (memory stick/flash cards), controller, or screen. Course thats likely whats going to happen with the PS3 and PSP.

Towards the back of the motherboard are contacts that you can solder an (E)IDE cable to. I dont remember the site but it was posted on the forum, try searching for "IDE hard drive PS2", or google.

Good luck.
