SpongeBuell: admin?
Earlier today, I talked with Ben a bit about the security issue. I offered to update phpBB fairly frequently for maximum security, and he was saying that I might be able to be an admin for that. If he does want me to, I thought I should ask you guys. I know I was a huge supporter of the mini mods, so I am a little reluctant to just take the job, since it's the opposite of what I believe in. So, I thought I'd see what you guys say. Should I be an admin, if Ben decides to have me one? Go ahead, be honest. If you all don't want me to, I won't do it... I promise. And if someone promotes me anyway, I'll demote myself, assuming there is a majority "no" vote.

I dont see any issue with that. Keeping the boards running without inconviousing people is something everyone can agree to. Maintainance for our board seems to be quite a bit even though we're still small.
Anyways like I said sounds good. I'll see about getting into PHP and maybe a few months down the line I could help.
And *o*, stop trying to be a mod. Like I've said be for "Just becuase you ask someone for something doesnt mean they'll give it to you". You earn designations and rank here not given them because of constant demands.

I vote Spongey for "Update and Title Admin". You could handle all the updates and the custom title requests... that sort of thing.
And probably regular backups of the database. (weekly?)

Well, here is what I am thinking: I'll do it, but just for updating phpBB, and banning people that are indisputably spammers, like adam1 (people that do things like post porn) If there is a major problem that someone mentions, I'll help out with it (if somebody starts 5 posts asking to make them XYZ portable, I'll take care of it) But, for the vast majority of times, I'll remain a mini mod, and really take care of forum 42 and the 2600 forum as I am now.
