Yeah. Screw him. I need some help.

When my family first got internet access, we foolishly decided on AOL. We had a dial-up connection, and we got tired of it. So about 2 years ago we decided to get a cable modem. We no longer needed AOL, but my dad didn't want to change his e-mail address, so we still paid for it. I've had Gmail for a little over a year, and I finally convinced him to cancel AOL and get Gmail. However, before he can cancel his account, he needs to transfer over all of his old mail to Gmail. This is about 4 years worth of mail, so there's no way I'm going to go through and forward them one by one. Does anybody know how to forward all of it at once? I can't find a way to forward all of the mail from his filing cabinet :(

A lot of people are convinced AOL is good. Most mail things have an option to select all of them. Can you get the AOL to work with some other program to extract the mail for you? (Like Thunderbird)

I tell my mother that using Outlook is weak. I do it the way is should, I go the website and login/logout of my account.

As for AOL. Forward your emails, send out a change of email and then leave AOL. Simple, I could do that if I wanted to save all my old crap, but instead I just moved everyone over to a new account (gmail) its simpler then moving crap from hotmail.
