Is the expansion pack backwards compatible?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Is the expansion pack backwards compatible?

Post by atkafighter »

I searched on this so I am sorry if it has been asked before. Its been a while since i messed with an N64 and I was just wondering if the expansion pack you can put in the N64 was backwards compatible. Meaning will it work with games that do not support the pack. I am asking because I remember with my brothers N64 the games that do not use the expansion pack dont boot up (blank screen). When i replace the original jumper pack they work. Is it just my little brothers system or do you really have to change the pack with the games you play?
Thanks

Yeah, they'll work with the pack, they just won't use it.

Must be something weird with your jumper pack or N64 :? Mine plays all the games with it no problemo.

Yes it does with no difference at all to the games that don't support it.
Great little thing, you should buy so you could play Majora's mask and Donkey Kong 64, 2 great games.
