When i step up do i lose mAh
If I step up from (example, I'm not actually using this) 7.4v to 12v, do I lose mAh?

When i step up do i lose mAh
Stepping up from 7.4v to 12v uses power, so to answer your question, no you don't lose mah, but you increase your power consumption which will decrease your battery life.
